Health Risks of Using Abuzz
Abuzz mentions that there are risk factors involved in utilizing their abortion services. Some of these risks include:
- An incomplete abortion
This would necessitate surgery, which Abuzz does not cover. - A ruptured ectopic pregnancy
Since Abuzz neither provides nor stipulates a prior ultrasound, an ectopic pregnancy would be left undiagnosed and untreated. Using the abortion pill would mask the symptoms, which could be life-threatening. - A late abortion
Doctors cannot confirm the week of pregnancy virtually, which could result in using the abortion medication beyond the FDA-approved 10-week limit. A later abortion has a greater chance of serious complications such as an incomplete abortion or hemorrhaging.
